We visited Kashmir in May with our two young kids and had a wonderful family trip. We spent 2 nights in Srinagar at Apple Orchid Resort and 3 nights in Gulmarg at Grand Mumtaz, and both stays were excellent. The rooms were comfortable, the staff at both hotels were warm and helpful, and the food was genuinely very good. A special mention for Irfan from Discover Gulmarg Adventures, who organised our trip and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. He arranged an Innova for us, which was perfect for travelling as a family, and everything was handled very professionally. He was always helpful, easy to coordinate with, and gave honest suggestions throughout the trip. One thing we really appreciated was that he took us to a well known local place for traditional Kashmiri dry fruits, and the quality was excellent. It felt like a genuine recommendation rather than a tourist stop. Overall, this was a very comfortable and memorable family holiday, and a lot of the credit goes to the people who hosted us so well. Thank you to the teams at Apple Orchid Resort and Grand Mumtaz, and to Irfan and Discover Gulmarg Adventures for making our Kashmir trip so enjoyable. We would happily recommend them to anyone planning a visit.

And while every member of the DGA is passionate about service-delivery, standing tall and laser-focused on service excellence is their leader, Irfaan. Irfaan was everywhere yet at the same time totally unobtrusive, anticipating and fulfilling our every need, whether of sight-seeing, shopping, transportation, eating out, over and above our every expectation, without ever getting in the way. He made Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Srinagar come alive for each of us, adults and 8 and 6 years old alike. We booked a ski package with Discover Gulmarg in March. The booking process was smooth and we got a good deal on the hotel and ski package. However, due to bad weather the ski company recommended to delay or cancel the booking as the snow melted. They were prompt to inform us from their end. They also gave us options if we wanted to continue the holiday he would book a Kashmir tour package for us or if we could cancel the booking. We went ahead and cancelled our booking and they refunded the money promptly. Even if we didnt go ahead with the package I would still like to recommend them for the transperancy and booking process.
